The Reverse Rose Ceremony in a Waldorf school is a tender tradition that honors the departing 8th class. At the start of their journey in first grade, the oldest students welcome them with a rose. At this ceremony the 1st graders now offer the 8th graders a rose to send them on to high school/ This gesture symbolizes the full circle of their school journey, gratitude for the community that nurtured them, and the passing of wisdom, love, and encouragement to the next generation.
